No cookies and no tracking
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no social media widget. Nothing on any page is loaded from another company's servers, including fonts, so no third party is told that you were here.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this one records requests as they arrive, including your IP address, the page requested and the time. These logs exist to keep the site running and to deal with abuse and attacks. They are not used to build a profile of anyone and are not shared for marketing.
The contact form
What you type into the contact form is sent to Jess Russell by email through SendGrid, an email delivery provider. It is not saved into a database on this site. Your email address is used to reply to you and nothing else. Emails are kept only as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry.
Please do not use the form to describe an emergency; it is not monitored around the clock. The helplines are free and open at any hour.
The EXIT button
The EXIT button opens a neutral page in a new tab and replaces this site in the current tab, so that pressing the back button does not bring it up again. Links inside the site work the same way, so the back button does not move between pages here.
What it cannot do is erase a record that your device or your network has already made. If someone else has access to your phone or computer, or if monitoring software is installed on it, read the advice on covering your tracks before doing anything else.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@jessrussell.co.uk and it will be dealt with. If you are unhappy with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
